Beginning of the UN investigation into the assassination of Benazir Bhutto.

As previously announced, the investigation will last six months. In July, a commission of three people to arrive in Pakistan, and the outcome of the investigation will submit a report to the UN secretary general Ban Ki-moon. The commission is chaired by the representative of Chile to the UN Geraldo Mundos. The Prime Minister of Pakistan Rem Malik said that the UN considers necessary to establish not only the perpetrators attack that killed Benazir Bhutto, but the organizers and those who financed the murder. Malik suggested that the assassination of Bhutto was Pakistan's attempt to collapse.
The attacks, which killed Benazir Bhutto, was committed by 27 December 2007 during a rally in the Pakistani city of Rawalpindi. This happened two weeks before the general election. The opposition accused the Pakistani secret services in the assassination attempt.
