Entered into force visa-free regime between Russia and Hong Kong.

From 1 July 2009 entered into force on a visa-free regime between Russia and the PRC Administrative Region of Hong Kong, transfers in the environment agency "Interfax".
In the Hong Kong Tourism Board explained that the Russians and the Hong Kong residents who do not plan to work, study or reside in the territory of another country are exempted from the requirement to obtain a visa if the stay does not exceed 14 days.
As the executive director of the Hong Kong Tourism Board, Anthony Lau, Hong Kong in 2008, attended by nearly 14 percent more Russian citizens than in 2007. The authorities intend to stimulate the region's inbound tourism from Russia, so in addition to simplifying the rules for border crossing, a lot of work on introduction of Russian language in the service of tourists.
Remember, a visa-free regime with different restrictions for Russian tourists already in place in Serbia, Montenegro, Thailand, Israel, Venezuela, Argentina, as well as in some CIS countries.
