Participants in anti-Israeli actions in Karachi tried to burst into the American consulate.

Police managed to stop these attempts. To do so, had to use tear gas and batons. According to local police, a few hundred violent protesters went to the consulate building with bricks and sticks. The road to the consulate was closed, but the crowd pulled down metal partitions.
U.S. authorities have not yet commented on the incident. January 11 anti-Israeli rallies were held in several cities of Pakistan.
The protests in support of the Pakistani population in the Gaza Strip took place in several countries in Europe and the Middle East.
