According to him, this will be preceded by "consultation with NATO allies and Russia."
Biden said: "We will continue to develop anti-missile shield to counter growing Iranian capabilities. NATO countries should be better equipped to prevent the spread of dangerous weapons in the world."
"Faced face to face with new threats, we must have new tools to neutralize them, as well as opportunities that will ensure our success," - explained to the American vice-president.
It should be noted that speaking about the U.S. intention to build a missile defense system, Joe Biden did not expressly say that its elements are necessarily located in the Czech Republic and Poland.
In addition, he noted that the system will be completed in the event that will prove its efficiency and its stoimoct will not exceed reasonable limits.
Recall that the deployment of ABM systems in Eastern Europe is a sharp rejection of Moscow, where these plans are referred to as a potential threat to Russia.
The new U.S. president had previously stated that the facilities will be deployed in the Czech Republic and Poland, just in case they need to be confirmed.
