The Russian government has decided to provide urgent humanitarian assistance to Zimbabwe, reported on 27 February at the Russian Foreign Ministry.
The first batch of food, as the transmit FM, was delivered in the Zimbabwe capital of Harare on 25 February. Products were in the presence of Zimbabwean officials to local office, UN World Food Program.
How much funding is planned to spend on the assistance of Zimbabwe, reported the Foreign Ministry did not say.
Currently, Zimbabwe is in crisis. As the RIA Novosti with reference to the Central Statistical Office of the country, as of July 2008, inflation in the country amounted to 231 million percent a year. According to various data, from 80 to 94 percent of Zimbabweans are unemployed. In addition, the country recorded an epidemic of cholera.
