At the heart of London on 24 February will be open late monument to Queen Elizabeth, the mother of Elizabeth II. That was reported by BBC News.
The bronze statue of the sculptor Philip Jackson portrays the Queen Mother at the age of about 50 years. Elizabeth died in 2002, when she was 101 years. The bronze relief next to the statue will talk about her life.
A monument to the Queen Mother, as it is called in Britain, is located near the monument to her husband, King George VI, who took the throne in the years 1936-1952. He was the last emperor of India and the King of Ireland. The ceremony will be attended by Elizabeth II, Prince of Wales Charles, Prince Harry and William.
