Human rights activists have accused the organization of Hamas reprisals.

The human rights organization Amnesty International has accused the Hamas movement in the repression against their political opponents in the Gaza Strip, reports AFP. The published report states that since the beginning of the Israeli military operation in late December 2008, Hamas gunmen killed at least twenty people.
In addition, according to human rights defenders, members of the security groups are systematically intimidated its opponents not only shot them, but also mutilated, prostrelivaya legs and causing other injuries. Targeted were those accused of collaborating with Israel, political opponents, and just unhappy with the policies carried out by Hamas.
In late January, Palestinian human rights activists have said that Hamas has used the Israeli military operation in order to do away from rivals in Fatah - the organization led by Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas.
Amnesty International called on Hamas to immediately stop the repression against their opponents. Hamas rejects these accusations.
