The International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Sudanese president.

The International Criminal Court in The Hague (ICC) issued arrest warrants for Sudanese president Omar al-Bashir on Wednesday, writes The New York Times. For information about this agency Reuters confirmed the unnamed sources in diplomatic circles.
What is a judge accused al-Bashir did not specify. As noted by Reuters, this may be due to the fact that the issuance of a warrant of arrest has not yet been officially confirmed - the representative of the ICC refused to comment. It is expected that a public statement on this occasion the ICC will do later in February.
Previously, we remind, Chief Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court, Luis Moreno-Ocampo (Luis Moreno-Ocampo) has accused al-Bashir for genocide, war crimes and crimes against humanity. Issue a warrant for the arrest of Sudanese President Moreno-Ocampo asked in July 2008.
Presented al-Bashir indictment relate to the conflict in the Darfur region of Sudan, escalated in 2003. Living in Darfur, ethnic black tribes demanded by the Arab government more independence, which eventually led to clashes with the armed forces of Sudan. In response, the authorities launched a military campaign against the rebels, in which the government engaged the armed groups of Arabs.
In the multi-collision, according to the UN, killed about 300 thousand representatives of the black tribes, several million were forced out of their territory. In 2007, Sudan was placed on a joint peacekeeping contingent of UN and African Union.
Remember, shortly after Moreno-Ocampo asked to issue a warrant to arrest al-Bashir, a number of representatives of the African Union and Arab League have condemned the move, calling on the UN Security Council to defer for a year any action on the matter, so that the deadline to find a way out of the situation. As noted by The New York Times, Security Council may request the postponement of the execution warrant after the fact, as he will be extradited.
The court decision was the case, as previously no one acting head of state was not arrested.
