Israel allowed to remove from Gaza 25000 carnations for Valentine's.

The government of Israel to allow exports from the Gaza Strip, the party of 25 thousand carnations to be sold in Europe as a Valentine's Day. The decision taken in response to a request from the Government of Holland, which traditionally is the biggest consumer of flowers grown in Gaza, reports The Independent.
The Palestinians have called the action "just propaganda." According to them, the export of small quantities of flowers will not solve the problems of agricultural producers in Gaza. Before the embargo sector exported around 40 million flowers a year. This year, most of the grown products had to be destroyed.
In addition, the blockade did not allow producers time to buy seeds and fertilizer, and during the operation "Cast lead is" caring for the plantings was altogether impossible. In addition, Israeli authorities still do not allow export of products of vegetable-growing sector and traditionally high-quality strawberries.
Distributors floral products in the Netherlands fear that if exports from Gaza are not resumed in full in the near future, the Palestinian florist will lose its share of the European market. Experts note that to win it again it will be very difficult, even if the problems with exports would be resolved.
Recall that a blockade by sea, land and air borders of the Gaza Strip was introduced by Israel in 2007, after the power sector captured Islamist group Hamas. According to the Israeli authorities, the blockade is necessary to stop the flow of arms the rebels, who regularly shelled Israeli territory.
