As expected, the formation of a coalition cabinet will happen in February, the agency transmits Associated Press.

Agreement in principle on forming a coalition government political parties have reached back in September 2008. However, further negotiations have failed because of the fact that the opposition leader Mogran Tsvangirai and Robert Mugabe could not agree on the allocation of key portfolios.

In January 2008, heads of regional offices of the opposition Movement for Democratic Change took an appeal to the leadership of the party, urging the government to enter and assist in resolving the humanitarian and economic crisis that has engulfed the country.

At Friday, January 30, meeting the opposition leaders agreed with the grass-roots organizations and have agreed to enter into the government. According to the Associated Press, it happened largely because of fears that supporters of Robert Mugabe in the end will form a government alone.

The opposition has decided to cancel a number of claims that it had previously considered as a prerequisite for its entry into the government. In doing so, they claimed that supporters of Mugabe should treat them as equal partners. According to some reports, may take Mogran Tsvangirai as prime minister in the government of national unity.

Recall that the political crisis in Zimbabwe has continued since the spring of 2008, when the country held parliamentary and presidential elections. In the elections to the parliament the opposition won, but the results of presidential elections, did not reveal the winner. He was appointed to the second round. Under pressure from the authorities, who launched a harassment of the opposition, Morgan Tsvangirai withdrew his candidacy and won Mugabe.

However, the political crisis had been overcome, as the world community did not recognize the legitimacy of the election of Mugabe. He complemented the humanitarian crisis: Zimbabwe cholera outbreak, which since August 2008, according to some reports, has claimed the lives of more than three thousand people. All this comes against the backdrop of hyperinflation and the complete collapse of the economy.
