At a synagogue in Caracas was attacked.

In the capital of Venezuela - Caracas - had desecrated the city's oldest synagogue, wrote on Saturday the Israeli newspaper Haaretz. According to the Jewish community in the city, it was the most defiant attack for all time the existence of the synagogue.
According to the publication, late in the evening on Friday at the synagogue broke 15 armed men. Protection of the synagogue, which consists of two people who had been unable to thwart vandals. Once inside, the attacker proceeded to ransack the premises synagogue, leaving graffiti on the walls of which contain anti-slogans.
The Foreign Minister Nicolas Maduro of Venezuela (Nicolas Maduro) condemned the actions of vandals, promising to find out who was behind the attack on a synagogue. However, he once again expressed the position of the Venezuelan government, calling the leadership of Israel's criminal actions.
"We respect the people of Israel, but also we respect the people of Palestine and their right to life" - he said at a solemn ceremony held earlier on the occasion of his return from Israel, exiled Venezuelan diplomats. In turn, Israeli diplomats, like agency, was expelled from Venezuela, another 6 January to protest the regime of President Hugo Chavez against Israeli actions in Gaza.
