The death toll in a fire in Kenya rose to 111 people, reported Reuters on Sunday, February 1.
On Saturday, fuel tankers hit in an accident near the town of Molo, located in the central provinces of Rift Valley (Rift Valley). Resulted from the fuel tank, and locals began to collect fuel. There was an explosion, as suggested in the local police because of cigarettes thrown. Nearly 140 people have received severe burns. Originally reported 50 deaths, then about 94. According to the latest figures, 111 people died, but it is possible that this number will increase.
The police also announced another version: fuel could deliberately set fire after the crowd began to overshadow the scene the police arrived. The Minister of Home Affairs of Kenya, George Saitoti (George Saitoti) reported on Sunday that emerged during the riots killed four police officers.
Over the last few days is already the second large fire in Kenya. Last Wednesday in a fire in a supermarket in the capital Nairobi killed 25 people.
