In a helicopter crash in Corsica killed five people, including a newborn, reported AFP.

The helicopter took off Saturday afternoon in one of the settlements in the north-eastern part of the island to take a pregnant woman in hospital in Bastia. On the way to Bastia helicopter disappeared from radar screens.

Place the helicopter crash was discovered by air on Sunday morning. Arrived on the scene, rescuers found that all the helicopter were killed. Victims of the crash were two pilots, a doctor, women who carried to the hospital and the newborn, born on board the helicopter.

Preliminary versions of the causes of helicopter crash has not yet been reported. We know only that the flight took place in extremely adverse weather conditions - fog, with a strong, sudden wind and driving rain.

  The Minister of Internal Affairs of France Michel Alo-Marie expressed her deepest condolences to the families and friends of the victims and promised that the circumstances of the helicopter crash will be thoroughly investigated.

Corsica - the fourth in size island in the Mediterranean Sea, belonging to France. Corsica lived around 302 thousand people.
