Latin America issue 90 billion dollars of loans.

In particular, IDB and the IIC will provide Latin America, 29.5 billion dollars, while the World Bank - 35.6 billion dollars. Apparently, the total amount of 90 billion does not take into account the International Monetary Fund to individual developing countries. Thus, only one Mexico, the IMF opened a credit line of 42 billion dollars. Colombia has requested IMF credit line of more than 10 billion dollars.
The funds will be used by international institutions not only to maintain the region's economy in a global crisis, but also to avoid social crisis. The statement was made head of the World Bank Robert Tsellik.
According to the International Monetary Fund, the economy of Latin America and the Caribbean region will decline in 2009 to one and a half per cent after several years of sustained growth. Mexico will suffer more than others because of their close ties with the United States, and Venezuela because of falling oil prices. In addition, the region as a whole will affect tourism and the decline in demand for raw materials in the world.
