Dutch authorities announced the arrest of one of the leaders of the Italian mafia clan Ndrangheta. As the AFP, the 30-year Strandzha Giovanni (Giovanni Strangio) suspected that it was he who supervised the killing of six Italians shot dead in German city of Duisburg.
According to the report, circulated on the Dutch authorities, the mafia has been arrested in the small town of Dimen Amsterdam, where he lived together with wife and child. When searching the house police found a Strandzha firearms and ammunition, as well as forged documents and a large amount of cash.
Together with Giovanni Strandzha arrested his cousin Romeo, Francesco (Francesco Romeo), which is also considered a member of the mafia.
Murder in the organization which is suspected Strandzha was committed in August 2007. The bodies of six Italians aged between 16 and 39 years were found in two cars. German police suggests that the dead were related to the Mafia, and the killing was the result of a conflict between two clans - Nirta-Strandja and Pellet-Vottari to fight since 1991.
In November 2008, it was reported that in Amsterdam arrested Giuseppe Nirta (Giuseppe Nirta), one of the leaders Ndrangheta. His, as well as Strandzha, suspected of involvement in the murder in Duisburg.
