The Pentagon has decided not to shoot down North Korean missile.

United States will not bring down the North Korean missile launch to be held 4-8 April, the agency transmits Reuters referring to the statement by the head of the Pentagon, Robert Gates.

North Korea claims that the missile should be put into orbit satellite Kvanmenson-2. For its part, the United States and Japan have repeatedly stated that under the guise of launching a satellite Pyongyang may test intercontinental ballistic missiles.

Despite fears the U.S., according to Gates, did not intend to shoot down a missile. "If it suddenly deviate from our course and headed toward Hawaii, then we can consider this option," - said the head of the Pentagon.

In doing so, Gates said that in any event, the North Korean missile can not reach the west coast of the United States. He also stressed that the DPRK will not be able to install it on a missile warhead.

Nevertheless, the United States intends to send to the South Korean port of Pusan in the Sea of Japan, two destroyers, equipped with antimissile systems Aegis.

Previously, two missile destroyers to the area of North Korea's missile tests sent Japan. They must destroy the elements of North Korean missiles if they will pose a threat to national security. This is the first and second stage, which, according to representatives of the DPRK, should fall in the coastal area of Japan.

For its part, North Korea earlier warned that any attempt to shoot down a missile, would be regarded as an act of aggression and a declaration of war.
