Italy arrested 37-year-old Pietro Kriako (Pietro Criaco), is included in the list of 30 most wanted Italian criminals, reported DPA.
Kriako is a member of kalabriyskoy mafia "Ndrangeta" (Ndrangheta). He is charged with murder and belonging to a criminal organization. The person arrested was wanted since 1997.
Kriako detained in the house of his relatives near the town of Reggio di Calabria. Along with the mafia have arrested three people who allegedly helped him in hiding, said La Repubblica.
In recent years, Italian police conducted a series of successful operations against the mafia kalabriyskoy, detaining dozens of suspects.
"Ndrangeta" is considered one of the most influential and brutal mafia clans Italy. Members of the clan operate mainly in the south. Revenues are estimated at 35-40 clan billion euros.
