The Somali president has resigned.

Abdullah Yusuf Ahmed, who four years as President of Somalia, announced the resignation at a special sitting of Parliament countries 29 December 2008. This is the agency France Presse. The intention to leave the post Yusuf Ahmed said another 24 December, the day after his aides denied it, but, nevertheless, the dismissal took place.
