In Afghanistan, the Tajik militants were arrested.

The leader of the offices of the Islamic Party of Turkestan (IPT) in northern Tajikistan Anvarzhon Kaumov arrested in Afghanistan. That was reported by AFP.
According to the agency gunman IPT, which is in Russia and other countries recognized terrorist organization, will be handed over to Tajik authorities. Kaumova accused of preparing attacks on police in the northern part of Tajikistan. According to AFP source at the National Security Committee of Tajikistan, Kaumov may already be issued on 27 December.
The arrest was made possible thanks to an agreement on extradition of militants, made the Tajik and Afghan authorities in early December. "The Islamic Party of Turkestan (former name - the Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan) is considered one of the most extremist groups in Central Asia. It was founded in 1996 by members of banned in Uzbekistan, political parties and movements with a view to establishing a Central Asian Islamic state.
