In the central part of Italy has a strong earthquake.

In the central part of Italy, an earthquake of 6.7 points, said on Monday early morning, Reuters, referring to the U.S. Geological Survey (US Geological Survey). Italian seismologists estimate earthquake 5.8 points, reports AFP.

Epicenter tremors recorded on Monday at 3:32 local time, was 85 kilometers northeast of Rome. Fluctuations in soil was felt in the capital of Italy, told Reuters, based in Rome. Tremors, according to Italian media, is also felt in Naples.

Data on victims or damage caused by the earthquake, has not yet been reported.

In 2002 a major earthquake in Italy led to the collapse of building a kindergarten in the village of San Giuliano di Puglia (San Giuliano Di Puglia), in the rubble where 29 people were killed, including 26 children. In the December 2008 earthquake, whose epicenter was near Parma, damaged several churches and a medieval castle.
In Rome, the last strong earthquake was recorded in August 2005. Its magnitude was estimated at 4.4 on the Richter scale. Affected and there was no damage.
