In Africa illegally exporting waste from Hampshire.

   Journalistic investigation revealed that potentially hazardous electronic waste from the British county Hampshire illegally transported to Africa. On 18 February reports that Sky News.
Under British law, toxic electronic waste should be destroyed in accordance with the rules of safety. Sky News journalists, together with members of Greenpeace brought to recycling center irretrievably damaged the old TV set with a beacon attached to it. They were able to see that the defective appliance was not destroyed, and exported to the Nigerian city of Lagos. Soon, one of the participants in this investigation was able to buy TV in Lagos electronics store.
The company declined to comment on the reclamation of the results of the investigation, but authorities have promised to conduct an inspection of the utilizer. In response the Council Hampshire says: "Our main goal has always been that electronic waste is reused as long as possible, and only the healthy televisions and monitors are sent abroad." Greenpeace, in turn, encouraged the business responsibly dispose of old appliances and not to transfer them to poor countries.
