Two Italian nun abducted in Kenya for more than three months ago, have been released and are in the Italian embassy in the capital, Nairobi. This, according to BBC News, said Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi.
The nuns, all of which more than 60 years of age, feel well, the Italian television broadcast a live telephone conversation with one of them. So far, it is not clear who and what is kidnapped women. On the circumstances of their release of information has also been received.
The abduction happened on Nov. 10, 2008 in the border region with Somalia, Kenya. We know that armed men abducted women flown to Somalia.
In the north-eastern Kenya, are prone to armed conflicts between various groups for land and water resources, abduction of aid missions occur quite frequently. This is facilitated by the fact that in the Somali central government controls only a small part of the country. Much of it is under the authority of warlords and militias.
