U.S. congressmen have visited the Gaza Strip for the first time in 8 years.

A group of American congressmen on 19 February visited the Gaza Strip, reported CNN. This is the first visit of U.S. legislators on the territory controlled by Hamas, in the last 8 let.V delegation was composed of Brian Beyrd representing in Congress, one of the counties of Washington, and Keith, Alison, who became the first Muslim congressman. Apart from the Gaza Strip came Senator John Kerry.
Democrat Congressman Beyrd said that the visit of a group of lawmakers in the Gaza Strip should be seen as a demonstration of the change of U.S. attitude to the situation in the region and move toward the Palestinians.
John Kerry arrived in Gaza from the Israeli Sderot, which is more than other cities hit by rocket attacks by Hamas militants.
