The alleged agent of al Qaeda in the United States pleaded guilty.

On Thursday, April 30, an alleged agent of al Qaeda, Ali Saleh Kahla al-Marri (Ali Saleh Kahlah al-Marri), located in the American prison in 2003 , admitted to providing material support to terrorists, reports AFP.
In the event that the transaction will take place with justice, the court orders al-Marri verdict only on the charge of conspiracy that threatens him with imprisonment for a term of 15 years.
Al-Marri, Qatari national, was arrested in Illinois in 2001 on charges of fraud. In 2003, the charges against him were dropped, but he was declared the party illegal armed groups and placed in jail.
According to the investigation, he met with Osama bin Laden, in a conversation with the expressed desire to become suicide and support the work of terrorists. Of all the suspected terrorists with the status of "enemy combatant, al-Marri is contained only in the United States rather than to the base at Guantanamo Bay.
In 2009, his case was transferred to the civil court, where he was the first time since the findings were formally charged. A motion to release al-Marri on bail was rejected, but at the same time, a question was raised, to give him the opportunity to make a deal with justice. In the case if Al-Marri refused to partially admitted his guilt, he faces a 30-year prison term.
