In Bulgaria, a bus without brakes crashed into a crowd of pilgrims.

As a result of a major accident in the south-eastern Bulgaria, 16 people were killed and four were seriously injured. The incident occurred near the town of Yambol, where on 28 May are the traditional celebrations on the Day of Ascension of Our Lord Orthodox, the Bulgarian National Television.
Accident happened on the road leading to Mount Bakadzhik - the traditional place of pilgrimage. According to the channel, the bus returned to the foot of the mountain to pick up new passengers when he refused to brake. The car crashed into a tree, overturned and fell on a group of pilgrims preparing for ascension.
In the local hospital said that all of them have been 13 people, nine of them required hospitalization. Driving a bus is 60-year-old driver, his fate is not reportedly under investigation.
As a result of the disaster on 29 May in Bulgaria declared a day of mourning.
