The offender held hostage for several hours at a hotel in Sydney.

The hotel in the south of Sydney armed offender took several people hostage, reportedly at the site of the Australian TV and ABC News.

The signal of the attempt of an armed robbery Hotel Lakes Hotel in Rosberri (Rosebery) enrolled in the police around 05:30 local time on Sunday. The Australian newspaper The Herald Sun, specifies that the offender attempted to rob the bar at the hotel.

According to witnesses, the perpetrator held a guard hostage and his family, as well as several members of the hotel. According to local television Seven Network, were held hostage to five people. Officially, the police information about the hostage-taking has not yet been confirmed.

Around 10:30 local time, reports ABC News, from building the hotel has a man who was taken into custody. Presumably, this was a criminal wishing to surrender. The police has refused to give any comments about what happened.
