In the parliament of Kuwait, the first woman elected.

In the Parliament of Kuwait for the first time in the history of this country electing a woman, reported Agence France-Presse.
As a result of the vote in one of the districts of the emirate in the parliament passed a teacher of political philosophy Asil al-Awadhi, and doctor of economics Rula Dashti. Both women have been educated in the United States.
According to the agency AP, seats were also Massoum al-Mubarak - the first woman minister of Kuwait - and the professor Salwa al-Dzhassar. Total of 50 seats in the parliament of Kuwait, claiming 210 people, including 16 women.
It reminds AFP, women make up about 50 percent of the electorate in Kuwait, received the right to vote only in 2005. At the same time the Minister of the Government of Kuwait has become al-Mubarak, to head the Ministry of Planning.
Remember, the Emir of Kuwait Sabah Al-Sabah dissolved parliament 19 Mar., 2009, after MPs demanded to interrogate the prime minister and the nephew of the Emir Nasser al-Sabah. The conflict led to the resignation of the Government, followed by a dissolution of the National Assembly.
