Indonesia sells the island from the sinking of refugees.

   The Indonesian Government is considering selling parts of the country's islands to small island states, which go under water due to global warming. This was announced May 5 edition of The Jakarta Post.
As Indonesia is composed of about 18 thousand islands, the permanent population is only in a thousand of them. The final question of the sale of unoccupied land to refugees will be settled after consultation staff profile offices with Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono).
Some of the Indonesian islands also threatened by flooding due to sea-level rise, but the authorities are taking measures to minimize losses.
Among the small states, the territory of which may be completely flooded within the next hundred years - Maldives. Now most of the Maldives rises above sea level at 1.5 meters, the highest point of the country - 2.5 meters. The government of Maldives have announced readiness to buy the land for the gradual resettlement of residents in 2008. Among the possible sellers then called India, Sri Lanka and Australia.
