"Egyptian Meydoffa" put in 15 years.

Cairo court sentenced a former businessman Nabil Al-Boushi (Nabil al-Bushi), nicknamed "the Egyptian Meydoffom, to 15 years in prison for fraud in a particularly large amount, reported AFP.
Nabil Al-Boushi was accused of embezzling some 62 million dollars. The victims of the fraudster were, mainly Egyptian celebrities - politicians, actresses, footballers. From 2002 to 2008, Nabil al-Boushi persuaded 85 people to invest in his company Optima Security Brokerage, promising that after the operations on the stock exchanges in London and New York, all depositors will get a profit of 40 per cent of the deposit amount.
In doing so, Nabil al-Boushi assured investors that took a high position in the World Bank and an advisor to the Government of Egypt's investment policy.
Assistant Nabil al-Boushi Fekri Badreddin (Fekri Badreddine) sentenced to three years' imprisonment. In addition to returning money to investors, both fraudster ordered to pay fines. Penalty Nabil al-Boushi was 1.7 million dollars, Fekri Badreddina - 17 thousand dollars.
In March 2009, the American financier Bernard Meydoff was convicted of fraud and embezzlement of 50 billion dollars.
