Nigerian militants have declared all-out war in the region.

The Movement for the Liberation of Niger Delta has declared an all-out war on the State, reported Agence France-Presse.
In a media statement in the motion states that all men can handle weapons, are obliged to fight for the freedom of the region. The Movement demands that all oil companies in the region to curtail their activities, this time before the companies issued weekends. Since then, equipment and personnel will be attacked by militants.
The statement came after the start of the militia movement against the military operations of the Nigerian Government. The representatives of the militia claimed that the government army began firing on the civilian population of the Niger Delta. In operation, said the representative of the movement, involving 13 military boats and helicopter gunships.
Three boats were seized by militants, six sunk, three more completely destroyed, say the rebels, after the government troops were forced to retreat.
The representative of Niger army colonel Abukar refuted information about casualties among the civilian population and said that the operation against the Movement for the Liberation of Niger Delta is continuing.
Action Movement for the Liberation of Niger Delta were in favor of the independence of the richest region of Nigeria and the nationalization of natural resources.
