Baghdad prison of Abu Ghraib "will open with a different name.

According to the Ministry of Justice of Iraq, "Baghdad Central Prison, so now it will be called, will be able to take about 3500 prisoners. By the end of the year, it plans to increase capacity to 15 thousand people, which would help solve the problem of shortage of seats in the Iraqi prisons.
Previously, it was reported that Iraqi authorities plan to open in the premises of the prison museum, which will tell the criminal regime of deposed Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein.
Prison of Abu Ghraib has gained wide popularity in 2004, after the scandalous publication in the world media images of abuse of American soldiers on prisoners. In the course of the investigation and the ensuing trials, many of the soldiers were convicted and sentenced to various terms of imprisonment.
