Malagasy police reported 68 killed in riots.

As a result of disturbance, continuing in Madagascar on Monday, killed at least 68 people, the Agency France Presse, referring to data of local police. At the same time, the source of the agency in the Government of France, the former colony which is Madagascar, the number of victims of the riots have already exceeded 80 people.
According to police the island, in the capital, Antananarivo, killed 42 people, 30 of whom were victims of a fire in one of the trade centers. Another 16 people were killed as a result of unrest in Toliare, a city in south-western coast of the island. In other parts of the island killed 10 more people. In several regions of the country declared a curfew, the police says that at this point the situation in Madagascar has stabilized.
Recall turmoil in Madagascar began on Monday, January 26, after the meeting in Antananarivo in support of the leader of the opposition mayor of the city Andri Razhuelina was shot and killed demonstrators. Razhuelina called upon its associates to protest actions, which soon escalated into riots and clashes with police.
Because of the outbreak of unrest, President Ravalomanana has been forced to interrupt his official visit to South Africa and return home. Razhuelina, said agency, meanwhile, announced the suspension of protests.
