WTO blamed China for the lack of copyright protection.

   The Commission on the World Trade Organization dispute settlement allowed the issue of copyright protection between the U.S. and China to the United States. On this January 26, said AFP.
The complaint, filed by the U.S. in the WTO, said that in China because of the connivance of the authorities of widespread production of counterfeit goods. Subsequently kontrafakt hits including the American market. The Commission acknowledged the WTO that China is not enough power to effectively take care of copyright protection. China encouraged to bring domestic legislation on copyright in line with WTO rules.
Acting U.S. representative to the WTO Peter Olgayer said that the Commission's decision to the WTO dispute settlement is to the United States "an important victory." According to Olgayera, the U.S. will try to the best use of this victory for the benefit of American rights.
In 2008 the U.S. recognized China, Russia, Argentina, Chile, India and some other countries of the principal violators of copyright in the world.
