Prime Minister of India Manmohan Singh coronary bypass surgery. That was reported by AFP. 76-year-old head of government transferred to the Intensive Care Unit. According to The Times of India, the operation lasted more than eight hours.
 The Indian press statement leads doctors, according to which Prime is in a stable condition. The operation took place in Vseindiyskom Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi (All India Institute of Medical Sciences). The official statement regarding the outcome of the operation is expected later on 24 January, so far about the status of the prime minister come from anonymous sources.
About who will temporarily serve as head of the government, has not yet been officially announced. According to the Indian press, these responsibilities will be assigned to the Foreign Minister of India, Mukherjee Pranaba (Pranab Mukherjee). January 24, he was President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev.
The decision was taken on the operation doctors, after Singh complained of chest pain earlier in the week. Before the operation, the doctors argued that the Premier would be able to return to work within a month.
