RosUkrEnergo has filed a lawsuit to "Naftogaz" in the Stockholm arbitration.

In the petition stated that "Naftogaz" is not fulfilling its obligations to the recovery and transportation of natural gas from underground storage facilities, thereby blocking the transit of gas belonging to RosUkrEnergo, which is its European counterparties.

In addition, as the representative of RosUkrEnergo, "Naftogaz" violates not only the terms of the contract, but also a number of provisions of the Energy Charter Treaty (DEH) to provide that transit entities prohibited even in cases of disputes over transit, interrupt delivery, while disputes will not be resolved.

Recall that from 1 January 2009, Gazprom fully stopped gas supplies to Ukraine. In doing so, Gazprom said that the supply of gas transit to Europe via the Ukrainian territory will be implemented by the company, as previously, in its entirety. For its part, "Naftogaz said that reduces the volume of gas supplies to European countries. In response, Gazprom accused Ukraine of the theft.

According to the representatives of Gazprom, Ukraine hijacked assigns daily 35 million cubic meters of natural gas going through its territory from Russia to Europe. To compensate for the loss of gas to Ukraine, Gazprom 3 January increased deliveries via Belarus and Europe. "Naftogaz" meanwhile, assured that despite the reduction of gas supplies from Russia, provides transit to Europe in full.
