The first aircraft to be from "Suvarnapuma" after the formal resumption of work, became the airline Thai Airways flight to Moscow.
The work of the airport on 25 November paralyzed the opposition demanding the resignation of the Cabinet of Ministers headed by Sonchatom Vongsavatom. After the Constitutional Court on 2 December dissolved the ruling party of People's Power and Sonchatu Vongsavatu banned for five years to enter politics, the opposition announced the termination of the blockade "Suvarnapuma" and the second airport of Bangkok - Don Muang. "
Dec. 3 "Suvarnapum" began to take and send flights, but airport administration said that the staffing mode airport earns only after a full audit of all security systems.
Because of the blockade by the opposition of two airports in Bangkok Thailand at the time have not been able to leave tens of thousands of tourists, causing serious damage country's tourism industry. Foreign airlines have been forced redirected its flights to Utapao airport, located 140 kilometers from Bangkok, which does not cope with the surge in passenger traffic.
