New U.S. Ambassador in Iraq will become the chief negotiator with North Korea.

American diplomat Chris Hill will be the new U.S. Ambassador to Iraq, Reuters reported on 2 February.
Earlier, Hill led the U.S. delegation to the multilateral talks on North Korea's nuclear program, as well as Deputy Secretary of State for the Far East and the Asia-Pacific region. During the years in the Foreign Service, Ambassador Hill served the U.S. in South Korea, Poland and Macedonia, as well as a special representative in Kosovo.
State Department did not officially confirmed the appointment of the Hill.
   Acting U.S. Ambassador Ryan Crocker arrived in Iraq in March 2007, in February 2009, he must leave his post. At a meeting with Barack Obama in late January Crocker criticized plans President of the United States for the early withdrawal of troops from Iraq.
