Tamils held in Paris, thousands marched to protest.

At least eight and a half thousand Tamils took part in the Paris march of solidarity with the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam. That was reported by AFP on Tuesday, May 12.
Participants were protesting against the policy of the Government of Sri Lanka, which the protesters, is in genocide of Tamils. According to the AFP, in France, home to a large Tamil diaspora, and such shares are held in Paris quite often.
The demonstrators carried posters on Tuesday, "We are not terrorists." Many carried portraits of the leader of the Tamil "tigers" Velupillaya Prabhakarana (Velupillai Prabhakaran), whose whereabouts are now unknown. On the arrest of participants in the march were reported.
Similar protests by the Tamils, have passed through Tuesday, May 12, in the UK.
European Union and the United States believed the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam, which is fighting a war for the independence of the north-east Sri Lanka since 1972, a terrorist group.
Since January 2009, according to the UN, as a result of large-scale government military operation in the north-east of the country killed nearly 6500 civilians, 14 thousand were injured and more than 200 thousand refugees fled the war zone.
