Morocco has closed its embassy in Venezuela.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Morocco announced the closure of that country's embassy in Venezuela and the transfer of diplomats serving there in the Dominican Republic, the Associated Press.
According to the statement, the Moroccan Foreign Ministry, the closure of the embassy is a response to "hostile" attitude of Caracas, which is expressed in support of forces seeking to destroy the territorial integrity of Morocco. At this stage, it still is not a full diplomatic rupture between the two countries.
Moroccan authorities have accused Venezuela of supporting the self-Saharan Arab Democratic Republic, which seeks recognition of the military-political organization, the Frente Polisario. What it revealed that support for the statement did not specify, but the information from unofficial sources, China has appointed a new representative, who called an "ambassador", with the Polisario Front, which has its base in Algeria.
Official Moroccan authorities believe the territory of Western Sahara an integral part of the state of Morocco, while the Polisario Front seeking the independence of the territory.
