In the Pacific the ship was detained c seven tons of cocaine aboard.

Mexican patrol boat detained in the Pacific Ocean fishing vessel with seven tons of cocaine on board, reported Agence France-Presse February 15, with reference to the statement by the President of Mexico Felipe Calderon.
Five crew members were arrested - all of them Mexican nationality and, presumably, are connected with one of the drug cartels operating in the country. The operation was carried out in cooperation with the U.S. Coast Guard.
The largest shipment of cocaine that had been able to capture the Mexican authorities, amounted to 23 tons (October 2007). Since coming to power of President Calderon, declared war on drug trafficking in the country, a total of 70 thousand tons of confiscated cocaine.
