Afghan President legalized rape in a Shiite family.

Afghan President Hamid Karzai signed a law that actually allows domestic violence against women, including marital rape, and also prohibits women from the home, contact a doctor, seek employment, receive education without permission of her husband, reports The Daily Telegraph.
The law, which governs family relationships for the Shiite minority in Afghanistan, imposes discriminatory provisions against women in marriage, divorce, adoption, use in court, with the right to inheritance and other cases, establishing a clear advantage for men in family life. Opponents of a legislative act has already stated that life on it - is "worse than the orders under the Taliban."
According to The Independent, Article 132 of the Act expressly requires the wife to obey her husband's sexual demands, and regulates the frequency of intimate relationships in the family. According to human rights, this provision actually legalize rape in the family.
The Daily Telegraph notes that the text of the law has not been published, it is virtually without debate passed through the two houses of Afghan parliament. On the signing of a law publication became known to the personnel of the United Nations Fund for Women (United Nations Development Fund for Women, UNIFEM).
According to the constitution of Afghanistan, men and women have equal rights, including in family life. However, the basic law allows the Shia minority, which constitutes about 10 percent of the population, to establish special laws relating to family and private life, in accordance with religious traditions and customs.

The document has almost not been discussed, many deputies do not even see the text. Sobesednik agencies described the document as a "secret agreement". She believes that before the forthcoming presidential elections in August, Karzai has sought the support of the Shiite community, whose members have not yet been demonstrated sympathy for the incumbent president.
In the apparatus of the Afghan president refused to publish the comments, the Minister of Justice of Afghanistan, confirmed that the law is signed by the President and will be published once able to overcome the "technical difficulties".
