Benedict XVI urged African officials to take care of the poor.

   Pope Benedict XVI before completing his tour of Africa, urged African leaders to help the poor, reports March 23 AFP.
In his final speech at the airport of the capital Luanda, Angola, Benedict XVI said that caring for the needy segments of the population should be the main business officials. During his African tour a couple of Rome has repeatedly appealed to public servants with calls to root out corruption and poverty.
Also Benedict XVI during a farewell speech, expressed his condolences to the families of two dead and four injured in stampede at a stadium, which occurred before the speech of the Pope on the outskirts of Luanda on 22 March. Tens of thousands of people attracted to the stadium is the Pope, addressed to Christian youth.
The last visit of Benedict XVI was his first trip to Africa since the election of the Pope. The visit was timed to 500 anniversary of the spread of Christianity in this part of the African continent.
At the outset of the continuation of travel is under threat because of the scandal.
