Three western diplomats are barred from entering into Transnistria.

Authorities unrecognized Transnistrian Moldovan Republic banned three senior diplomats from the EU and the U.S. entry into its territory. According to RIA Novosti, announced this, President of Transnistria, Igor Smirnov.

Recall that on 20 February, the representative of the unrecognized republic of the presidential administration denied information about the ban on entry into Transnistria to some diplomats from the EU and the USA. The day before, the media reported the sanctions against some Western diplomats. Argued that the information received from the source of the entourage of President of Transnistria.
Nevertheless, on 24 March Smirnov explained that the sanctions imposed in response to the extension of a similar prohibition against high-ranking officials of Transdniestria, which denied the right to attend the EU and the USA. The restriction relates to 19 heads of the unrecognized republic, including most of Igor Smirnov and his two sons. The EU Council of Ministers on 16 February to extend for one year to the "restrictive measures" against the Transnistrian leadership.
In his statement, Smirnov also raised doubts about the role of the European Union as observers in the Transnistrian settlement. "This is not an observer, but a forced," - he said. Suspended in February 2006 negotiations for the settlement of the conflict took place in the 5 +2 format. In addition to Moldova and Transnistria have participated in Russia, Ukraine and the OSCE delegation, while the observers were the EU and the USA.
Transdniestria declared its sovereignty shortly before the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1990. Moldova did not agree with this decision, and in 1992 the country started an armed conflict, which resulted in Chisinau finally lost control over the territory of a self-declared republic. Currently, the authorities of Moldova are ready to go on providing Dniester broad autonomy within a unified state, Tiraspol is insisting on full national sovereignty.
