Police detained ten participants in the riots in northern Israel.

Israel Police detained ten participants in the riots in the town of Umm el-Fahm, the Yediot Aharanot. The authorities have promised to produce the detainee prosecution "of the law."
The town is inhabited mostly by Arabs and excitement arose as a reaction to the march of right-wing Jewish activist organizations. Demonstrators gathered in the city carrying national flags of Israel. The representatives of leftist and Arab nationalist organization called the march a provocation.
Member of Knesset AGF Agbariya (Afou Agbaria), a resident of Umm el-Fahm, condemned the police action and demanded the release of detainees. He said participants in the march racist provocateurs, and that they should be punished, not the residents of the city.
