In the helicopter crashed in Turkey instead of Russians, Ukrainians were flying.

The crew of a fire helicopter crashed in Turkey on 18 June, was not Russian, and Ukrainian, transmits RIA Novosti with reference to the official statement of the Consulate General of Russia in Antalya.

Previously, it was reported that on board were three Russians and two citizens of Turkey. As is evident from official statements by the Russian side, in the helicopter were three Ukrainians and two Turks, but the helicopter was leased to Turkey from Ukraine.

The accident occurred at 13:40 local time. The helicopter fell into the water when the crew gained from dam water to extinguish a forest fire.

As the Consul General of Russia, three Ukrainians taken to the hospital. The fate of the two Turks had not reported: it is possible that they drowned. Causes of the accident is unknown.
