Belarus has requested money from the EU.

Belarus has requested financial support from the European Union. This statement was made by Finance Minister of Belarus Andrei Harkovets, without specifying the amount of assistance, which turned the country, reports "Interfax".
According to Harkovtsa, the Belarusian side sent an appeal and awaiting the reaction of the EU. "I think in the next 10 days will be a preliminary review of our appeal and the first reaction," - added Harkovets.
June 22, European Commissioner for Foreign Policy Benita Ferrero-Waldner on behalf of the EU has granted Belarus a credit of ten million euros. The next day in the newspaper Kommersant has information that Ferrero-Waldner meets with President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko declared on certain conditions which the EU is in the provision of large loans. In particular, Belarus is required from the privatization and sale to European investors with the key enterprises in the country.
The Belarusian authorities have requested financial assistance not only to the EU, but also to the International Monetary Fund (IMF). June 22, National Bank of Belarus has requested a billion dollars to the IMF, in addition to the previously granted to fund the loan at 2.46 billion dollars. Prior to this, the IMF mission, who worked in Minsk from 29 April to 13 May, recommended that the Board of Directors of the Fund to extend a credit line to Belarus to 651.4 million Special Drawing Rights (about one billion dollars).
In addition, last fall Belarus also reached agreement with Russia for a loan in the amount of two billion dollars. Of these, half a billion Russian side has already been granted.
