In Bulgaria, arrested former Prime Minister of Kosovo.

Bulgaria arrested a former Kosovo Prime Minister Agim Ceku, announced in the international search on the initiative of Serbia, announced June 23, agency DPA.
According to the Social Democratic Party of Kosovo, headed by Ceku, a former Prime Minister of Kosovo, will be released within a few hours. What linked these expectations, the source of the agency is not explained.
It reminds the agency over the past few years, this is the third arrest Çeku - before he was detained in Slovenia in 2003 and Hungary in 2004. In addition, for the reason that he is in the international search, in 2009 it was expelled from Columbia.
As ITAR-TASS reported with reference to the Macedonian Information Agency in all cases, the arrest of one or other country refused to extradite Ceku to Serbia, as it is contrary to local laws. As a result, Çeku only expelled from the country, where he was arrested.
Serbia announced Çeku in the international search in 2002. He, like several other Kosovo Albanians, among them the current Prime Minister of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci, is wanted by Serbia for war crimes and genocide of the Serbian people.
Attributed Cheku crimes related to the two conflicts. The first was the war for Croatian independence from Yugoslavia, which began in 1991. Then Cheku deserted from the Yugoslav Army and fought against the Serbs in Croatia. In 1998, Ceku is back in Kosovo and became one of the commanders of the Kosovo Liberation Army, which waged a guerrilla war against the Serbs. After the war by NATO against Yugoslavia, Ceku headed the "Kosovo Protection Corps", uniting the former Kosovo rebels.
In 2006, Ceku was appointed Prime Minister of Kosovo, and held the post until 9 January 2008, giving him Hashim Thaci. In April the same year he joined the Social Democratic Party of Kosovo.
