Three detained in Egypt, the Russian students released.

The Egyptian authorities on Wednesday released three Russian students of the religious Al-Azhar University, detained by local law enforcement authorities on May 27. About RIA News reported, Vice-Consul of the Russian Embassy in Cairo Yusup Abakarov.
Abakarov stressed that the detention is still 14 students from Russia. As previously reported, they will be deported. According to the vice-consul, the Russians will be expelled from Egypt earlier than next week.
Recall, 37 students from Russia - mostly come from the North Caucasus - were arrested on the night of 26 to 27 May in their privately rented flats in the Cairo district of Madinat Nasr. Simultaneously, the Russians were arrested about two hundred people - the citizens of Great Britain, Denmark, France, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and several Arab countries.
Subsequently, Egyptian law enforcement authorities released some Russian students. At the same time released to freedom the Russians allowed to stay in Egypt.
Official reasons for the detention are not reported. According to one version, talking to sources of Egyptian law enforcement that has occurred due to large-scale preventive operation to verify compliance with the visa regime. At the same time, many analysts believe that increased security measures taken in connection with the arrival in Cairo of U.S. President Barack Obama.
