Airlines of the world in 2007, lost more than a million bags.

In 2007, airlines around the world had lost more than one million pieces of luggage of passengers. Overall, it was forgotten, or sent by mistake in the wrong direction about 42 million bags and suitcases. That was reported by Sky News.
According to the British organization for the protection of the rights of airline Air Transport Users Council (AUC), the number of errors in the processing of baggage has increased. In 2006, their total number amounted to 34 million, and in 2005 in time to get your luggage is not able to 30 million people.
This indicates that passengers often do not receive adequate compensation for lost belongings airlines. In one case, which is recognized by a typical, passengers rating the missing things in 1120 pounds sterling, received only about 80 pounds of compensation.
Airlines find many reasons to reduce the amount of compensation. One excuse is the lack of an inventory of things that were in the luggage. In other cases, companies expect their cost at a discount to the bottom.
In case of delayed baggage carriers also refused to compensate all the costs of passengers. Sometimes people are waiting until the company finds and bring them things, forced to buy goods that they already had to postpone travel and meetings. All these costs should be offset airlines, but to make them so long as it is very difficult.
AUC Experts warn that while maintaining the established practice by 2019, when the volume of passenger air travel will increase by half, the airline will lose each year, or delay of about 70 million pieces of luggage.
