In Barcelona, students are assaulted by the police.

In Barcelona clashes between police and protesting students, said AP. According to officials, five police officers were injured, three demonstrators were arrested.
Spanish students participate in protests across the country in connection with plans by the Government to undertake educational reform. In particular, the authorities intend to reduce the duration of the first cycle, leaving the same number of training courses. Students argue that the increased workload will not allow them to combine work and study.
Proponents of reform argue that the new educational system will allow Spanish students to more easily find work in other EU countries. The protesters believe that the price of this training will be the disappearance of "unprofitable" specialties in many universities. Meetings of students in Spain are already a few months.
